Time flies, and it's almost time to go Just one week left for departure. Even though it felt like eternity back in February when I found my family, time has passed by so fast, and now we're almost there. Yesterday I finaly graduated from Aalborg University with a Bachelor-degree in History. After the exam was over, I went with my study group to a restaurant to celebrate three years of studying together had come to an end. We each part ways after this semester. I for my part will begin at the 'Master of Arts (MA) in History' by begining of September. Suite cases has been brought out, and I have packed most of my hand lugage. Couldn't wait. Today I went to get hold on some TSA-locks for the suitecases. Why is that? Well, TSA-locks has this feature that security at Airports can open the locks by a special key, so they won't destroy the suitecase, nor the lock. Tomorrow I go to the local Administration to get an International driving licens, that I am able...

Preparations are being made View from the hotel to Madison Square Garden. Time for departure comes closer, and we look more and more forward to this travel. Just the other day my wife, Marlena, and I went to the mall to shop a bit for the travel. I badly needed some good shoes, as the ones I had made my feet hurt. We've also bought some large suitecases secondhand, so we are prepared for the travel.  When I booked the travel, we also booked a room at a hotel nearby the JFK Airport. Recently I read some new reviews of the hotel, and it wasn't exactly flattering. I also wrote the hotel, who had advertised they offer to pick guests at the Airport. As I didn't knew how this functioned, I wrote to ask. It showed we had to take a shuttle bus to a specific place, where we could find some phones to call ...

Less than a month

Time is running out Now there’s less than a month until we’re going to the States for the first time of our lives. I almost can't believe. Flight tickets has been purchased as well as Amtrack train tickets from New York to Albany. The first night in US we stay at a hotel near the airport.  We have started preparing by lending suitcases and shopping items needed for the travel.  As a family we have our own closed Facebook group, where I have shared YouTube videos of the type of planes we are going with and the Airports we are visiting. Lately I have shared video of Penn Station at Manhattan , and just found a video of the train travel by Amtrack we are going to make. I also found a video from someone driving around in Albany, NY , just showing out the city. I was not aware that Albany in fact is the capitol of New York State, but now I know. All this makes it easier to my children with Autism diagnosis to cope with the travel at all. The first week we are go...
